Newspaper clippings (1965-1966) on the tenure of Paul Dickson as UNC student body president / copied and organized by Elizabeth B. DeBold. 2011.

Paul Dickson III was elected the student body president at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in spring 1965. He was asked to resign after breaking the campus honor code by bringing a woman student into his fraternity house, but refused to resign despite a petition signed by almost 2,000 students. The case led to a reconsideration of dual policies for men and women students, since the woman involved was suspended and Dickson was not. Later, Dickson was involved with another controversy with his fight against North Carolina's Speaker Ban Law.
